In paper two, I also learned of the significance of using proper quotations. Quoting your sources not only demonstrates your knowledge of the text, but it also benefits your writing by pushing it to the next level. By quoting, you put your text into conversation with your source, which can help create or resolve conflict in your writing. In paper two, I quoted my peers Diego Fernandez, Angel Fendiana, and Kayla Lowe. I used quotes from these writers in conversation with the statement that I was making about food and family. Diego, Angel, and Kayla all made strong points about how the food that their parents and grandparents make connects them to their families, and how it brings back memories of past holidays or memorable days with their loved ones. Using quotes from my peers helped progress my writing immensely, and it proved my point on multiple occasions. We also used chapters from the Little Seagull Handbook to teach us to quote properly, with the right formats,
