Learning Outcome Four
I looked at my peer review for paper three of Rachel’s paper. I think my comments that I made on this paper were much more evolved than my comments that I made in previous peer review sections, and I was able to help her structure her paper better through my comments. When peer reviewing, I try to treat the paper as my own. If I were to read it and constantly remind myself that it was Rachel’s, I wouldn’t be able to help her very much. I try to read it as if I wrote it, and it helps me critique it better. I’m able to find more grammatical errors, and I’m also able to provide feedback on where I think the paper should go. When I discuss my comments in person, I talk most about the global aspect of the revisions, and I let the local ones speak for themselves within my written comments.
