One of the most helpful aspects of “They Say I Say”, in my opinion, are the templates that they provide in every chapter. This is a very helpful resource, as it allows you to look back upon the chapters for assistance when you are writing. In this chapter, there were templates that helped you to introduce what others say, but in your own words. There were templates for introducing an ongoing debate, introducing something that someone has implied, and templates for making what “they say” something that “you say”. I think that this chapter is extremely helpful because it offers different ways to introduce things that have been suggested before. “They Say I Say” is a great resource, and I found myself flipping through the chapters often when I was writing my favorite meal essay, and the first project as well. When I revised my work, I found that I was often introducing quotes in the same way almost every time. “They Say I Say” allowed me to be able to expand the way I introduce those ideas, and it made my writing look a lot better.
